ABSTRACT
The Premiere Hotel Pekanbaru is a company engaged in providing
services. Along with the development of technology and competition in the
development of the hotel business is the reason for the importance of The
Premiere Hotel Pekanbaru in implementing the right strategy in order to provide
excellent service to customers and can survive with a variety of competition. The
purpose of this study was to determine and analyze The Premiere Hotel
Pekanbaru to achieve competitive advantage, and to find out and analyze
alternative strategies used by The Premiere Hotel Pekanbaru.
The method used in this research is a survey method by collecting data
from interviews, observations, and literature studies. Analysis is done by
identifying external and internal factors. To formulate a competitive advantage
strategy, researchers used a SWOT analysis. The analytical tools used are
Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), External
Internal Matrix (IE), and Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT)
analysis.
The results of the study found 5 alternative strategies, utilizing meeting
rooms in hotels to increase hotel revenue, maximizing hotel services and
improving hotel facilities, promoting competitive prices,utilizing technological
advancements, innovating products or prices.
