Peat water is surface water that is abundant in swampy and lowland areas, especially in the Pekanbaru and surrounding areas. The purpose of the research is to treat peat water into clean water in accordance with the Ministry of Health No. 416 / MENKES / PER / IX
/ 1990 by using a mixture of alum coagulant and lime. The variation used in this study was 1 (alum 1%: lime 1%), variation 2 (alum 1%: alum lime 2% ) and variation 3 (alum 1%: lime tohor 3%) with stirring for 35 minutes using sterrer, settling for 15 minutes then filtered. In this study, the analysis was pH, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), color, odor, hardness and metal Fe, from this study obtained the best results on variation 1 with a pH of 6.87, TDS 387 mg / L, clear color, odorless , hardness of 70 mg / L and Fe metal levels of 0.131 mg / L.
