This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and work environment on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands Regency.
The population in this study were all PNS teachers, totaling 53 people. While sampling uses the census method which is to make the entire population a research sample. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis, with quantitative analysis tools, namely multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 20.0.
From the results of tests that have been carried out, it shows that motivation and work environment partially and simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi District, Kepulauan Meranti District. The contribution of the influence of the independent variable (motivation and work environment) to the dependent variable (performance) is 70.1%. Teacher performance needs to be improved, especially the ability to master teaching materials, the ability to conduct evaluations and assessments and the ability to carry out tutoring.
