Muara Fajar Landfills is the only landfill in Pekanbaru. It is also a source of economic activity for the scavengers. Not just adulthood scavenger, but also children scavenger plentiful in the area. Standart Operation Procedure (SOP) of Muara Fajar Landfills forbade children scavange for garbage in the landfills area, but nonetheless its not be cared. The purpose of this research was to look at the activity and the management of working time, learning and charging leisure of children scavenger, as well as their motivation to scavenger for garbage in the Muara fajar Landfills. The method of this research used qualitative descriptive approach. The result of this research showed that, in addition to slum drewel, the children scavenger also as students in formal school. They scavange for garbage usually after school hours, either during the day or night. They even do not have the free time to just play or transmit a hobby. There are many kinds of children motivation to work as scavenger, such internal motivation that derived from self, as weel as external motivation usually comes from the family and economy conditions. And external influence such the peers environment who are also children scavengers in the Muara Fajar Landfills.
