This paper was proposed to qualify for a bachelor's degree in sociology. Under the title "The Influence of Parent Motivation on Children Learn Achievement (Study at Vocational High School Budi Mulia Village North Cross Indragiri Hilir Regency Academic Year 2016/2017)". This research purpose for determine influence of parents motivation on learning achievement of children. Motivation of parent seen based on indicators of material motivation and non-material motivation. The material motivation indicator, viewed on parent provides uniforms, parent provides learning facilities/equipment, parent provides textbooks or literature and parent gives a reward if they get a satisfactory value or achievement. Furthermore, the sub-indicators of non-material motivation of parent viewed from parent reminds learning, parent gives praise, parent asks about the difficulties of children in learning, parent tells the story of motivation, parent asks the school about the problem of learning children and parent provides more supervision (strict). And student achievement, seen based on the average value of report cards obtained by students. This research use descriptive quantitative method to examine the issues raised. All students of class X and class XI become respondents in this research and by using saturated sample technique. Data collection techniques used by observation and questionnaires, and presents the results of data processing in tabular. The theory was used in this research be motivation theory. From the results of research, the influence of parent motivation on the learning achievement of children SMK Budi Mulia Village North Cross Indragiri Hilir regency that is less influential. This is because the contribution of parent motivation to the learning achievement of children is less support the achievement of learning achieved by the students.
