Identifikasi Bivalva Di Ekosistem Mangrove Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Rawa Mekar Jaya mangrove area is polluted and damaged, and this condition may
affects the bivalve community in that area. To understand the types of bivalves
present that area, a research has been conducted in July 2019. There were 3 sampling
areas, namely the reforestation area, slightly damaged and healthy mangrove. Bivalves
are caught manually, and the morphology was observed. Results shown that 115 bivalves
were caught, they were Pharella acutidens (49 specimens, Solenidae), Polymesoda
erosa (50 specimens, Corbiculidae) and Glauconome virens (15 specimens,
Glauconomidae). P. acutidens (8 cm TL) characterized by elongated thin shell, fine
growth lines and off-white colour. P. erosa (8 cm TL) has equivalve shell with coarse
growth line and chalky white colour. G. virens (7cm TL) has moderately thin shell with
coarse growth line and cream colour.
