Pendugaan Populasi Ikan Motan (Thynnichthys Thynnoides) Di Danau Bokuok Desa Aursati Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Thynnichthys thynnoides is commonly found in the Bokuok Lake, an
oxbow lake that is located in the Aursati Village, Kampar Regency. A research
aims to estimate the population of that fish in lake has been conducted in April-
May 2019. The fish was sampled everyday for 10 days in April and 10 days in
May, using a net.The estimaton of fish population was analyzed using a Leslie
method. Results shown that the estimated population of the fish in April was
59,660 fishes and the biomass was 857 kg, while that in May was 29,627 fishes
and 511kg biomass. Length-weight relationship of the fish shown negative
allometric with b values 2.75 in April and 2.39 in May. The water quality of the
lake in the Aursati area were as follows: temperature 27-30° C, brightness 125-
140 cm, depth 3.32-4.80 meters, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 3.23-3.69 mg/L. Based
on data obtained, it can be concluded that the estimated population of the fish in
Bokuok Lake is quite high.
