Potensi Ekowisata Bahari Pantai Tiram Kabupaten Padang Pariaman Provinsi Sumatera Barat

This research was conducted in April 2020 at Tiram Beach, Padang Pariaman
Regency, West Sumatra Province. This study aims to identify the potential of
Tiram Beach which is the attraction of marine ecotourism, to determine the public
perception of Tiram Beach ecotourism activities and to analyze the supporting
factors for ecotourism activities on Tiram Beach. The method used in this study is
a survey method. The research location is divided into 3 station points, namely
Station I on the edge of the Tiram estuary, Station II near the entrance to Tiram
Beach, and Station III in the mangrove area. The results showed that the tourism
suitability index, the suitability value for Tiram Beach tourism activities, was in
the very suitable category (S1), with values ranging from 84.52-95.23.% and the
average value is 88.09%. This value is included in the very suitable category as
ecotourism and can be used as marine ecotourism. Tiram Beach has a beach with
white sand and rows of pine trees, which is a means for visitors to, sit back, relax
or have a picnic with their family and enjoy the sunset in the afternoon. There is a
bridge built as a photo spot for tourists and has a mangrove area along the Tiram
Estuary. The natural beauty that is still original and natural makes a great
opportunity to make Tiram Beach a marine ecotourism area.
