Struktur Komunitas Diatom Epifitik Pada Akar Rhizophora Apicuıata Dl Kawasan Kutan Mangrove Ujuang Labuang Kabupaten Agam Provinsi Sumatera Barat

This study was conducted in October 2019, was located in Mangrove Forest
Area Ujuang Labuang Ujuang Labuang Agam, West Sumatera. This study aims to
understand community structure of epiphytic diatoms on the roots Rhizophora
apiculata. The method used in this study was a survey method. The results showed
that there were 18 epiphytic diatom genera in the roots of R. apiculata, dominated by
the genus Navicula. Values ranged abundance 149,891-209,247 individuals/cm2, the
value of diversity index (H') ranged from 2.38-2.90, the value of dominance index
(D) ranges 0.18-0.23 and uniformity index value (E) ranges from 0.72-0.84. The
relationship of nitrate concentration with diatom abundance is r=0.537 (strong
relationship) and the relationship of phosphate concentration with diatom abundance
is r = 0.862 (very strong relationship).
