Analisis Daya Dukung Terumbu Karang Untuk Wisata Bahari Di Pulau Angso Duo Pariaman Provinsi Sumatera Barat
This research was conducted in November 2019– February 2020 on Angso Duo Island, Pariaman City, West Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is a survey method. Purposive sampling was used to determine the sampling point at 4 (four) stations: Station I (North Side), Station II (South), Station III (West), and Station IV (East), Angso Duo Pariaman Island, West Sumatra Province. The method used is to use the Line Intercept Transect (LIT) method. Identification of basic habitat-filling biota is based on the form of growth (life-form) with an identification code referring to (English et al. 1997) and (Veron, 2000). SWOT analysis is used to formulate management strategies.
The results showed that the most common coral species found from all observation stations were Acropora sp., While reef fish were coral groupers (Chepalopholis sp.). The percentage of live coral cover was generally in the moderate category (33.8%). The analysis of the marine tourism suitability index based on ecological aspects and environmental parameters is divided into several categories, namely for beach tourism which is classified as Very Suitable (SS), for diving tourism is in the appropriate category (S), for snorkeling tourism is classified as the appropriate category (S). The calculation of the carrying capacity of the area (DDK) is divided into several marine tourism activities, namely beach tourism activities of 101 people / day, diving tourism activities of 123 people / day.
Based on the strategy of developing marine tourism through the ranking results of the prospect of marine tourism management on Angso Duo Island, the priority is that good water quality according to sea water quality standards becomes an attraction for visitors.
