Kombinasi Hormon Ovaprim Dan Oksitosin Untuk Pemijahan Ikan Betok (Anabas Testudineus)
Betok fish including fish that are very difficult to spanwn, which is only once a year. Efforts to manage betok fish to be available throught the year by observing the reproductive aspects. One of the efforts that can be done is by administering spawning hormone to betok fish so that it produces larvae with the number, quality and time of provision that can be adjusted as desired. The purpose of this study is to analyze the combination of ovaprim and oxytocin hormones doses on spawning of Betok fish (A. testudineus) and to analyze the hormone estradiol-17β. This research used a complete randomized design consisting of five treatments and three replications consisting of P1 (100% ovaprim), P2 (75% ovaprim + 25% oxytocin), P3 (50% ovaprim + 50% oxytocin), P4 (25% ovaprim + 75% oxytocin) and P5 (100% oxytocin), with injection dosage 0.5 ml/kg of broodfish weight. The results showed that the concentration of the hormone estradiol-17β in the blood ranged from 0.125 ng/mL-1 to 1.03 ng/mL-1. Whereas for other parameters obtained results namely latent time 9.42±0.15 to 12.70±0.58 hours, the number of ovulated eggs 3460.00±450.33 to 5700.00±317.49 eggs, egg diameter after ovulation 0.83±0.02 to 0.95±0.01 mm, hatchability 92.30±0.89 to 96.37±1.19% and larvae survival 3 days 95.54±1.47 to 97.45±1,10%
Key words: Estradiol-17β, ovulation, spawning, ovaprim, oxytocin.
