ABSTRACT
The design of this Cinema Center is located in the Bukittinggi city area, which is
behind this design is the rapid development of the entertainment world and is
needed by the community as a means of recreation, and one of them is film. The
development of film in Indonesia is happening so rapidly, it can be seen from the
high enthusiasm of the public for their interest in watching movies to the cinema.
Currently the city of Bukitinggi has an abandoned and unkempt cinema. Therefore
we need a facility that can meet the needs of the public about film in the city of
Bukittinggi. The design theme of Bukittinggi Cinema Center uses the
Deconstruction Architecture approach with the principle of Daniel Libeskind
which focuses on the formation of a different era from the surrounding
environment. So that later the Cinema Center building is expected to become a
building that is a place of recreation that attracts attention.
