ABSTRACT
The potential of Bokor Village does not only come from the natural side, but also
from culture, arts, crafts, culinary, to historical heritage. In fact, Bokor Village can
become a village at the forefront of Meranti Islands Regency as an educational and
recreational tourism village. Bokor Village is also the venue for a large
international event in Riau Province. With this festival, Bokor Village offers
performances from various artistic performances such as traditional regional
music, modern music, ghazals, and ayak sagu dance. Other activities at this festival
are tracing the upper reaches of the Bokor river and culinary delights. In addition
to the above events, several events are held annually in Bokor Village, namely the
Bokor River Festival, the Bokor Folklore Festival, the Bokor River Festival, the
Bokor One Night, the Bokor River International Reggae Festival, the Bokor World
Music Festival and so on (Pemdes Desa Bokor, 2019).
The design of the Bokor Village Tourism Area in Meranti Islands Regency requires
planning on the waterfront with a good design and can meet the needs of tourists
and the arts, therefore, a waterfront architectural design approach is implemented
in this area, which aims to assist access to any tourism activities. who visited. With
the development of the waterfront architecture, the activities in the area are
oriented towards the water, so that the application of the theme is well-realized and
able to help every activity in the area.
