Rokan Hulu Butterfly Park And Conservation Center Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Biomimikri
ABSTRACT
Rokan hulu is an area that has very high biodiversity. Supported by the nature of a
tropical climate that makes Rokan Hulu as a suitable habitat for flora and fauna,
one of which is the butterfly fauna. This can be proven by the many types of endemic
butterflies preserved in the Rokan Hulu Hapanasan tourist area as an information
center and butterfly breeding center which is one of the most visited tourist areas
in Rokan Hulu. However, the lack of maintenance of the Hapanasan Rokan Hulu
tourist area has caused the butterfly breeding center to be ignored. Rokan Hulu
Butterfly Park and Conservation Center is a place for research and breeding of
butterflies that serves as an interactive space for conservation and education, so
that it can provide information about the life of butterflies to the public. With the
implementation of Architecture biomimicry, this architectural approach can create
a relationship between architecture and nature by applying natural strategies into
building designs. Through the concept of 'butterfly metamorphosis' and being
transformed with an architectural biomimicry approach to building has
architectural qualities that can stimulate the life of butterfly habitats and plants
that are their source of food.
