Terapi Relaksasi Otot Progresif Terhadap Tingkat Kecemasan Mahasiswa: Literature Review
Anxiety can have an impact on the learning process of students. Progressive
muscle relaxation is belived to reduce anxiety levels. The purpose of this research
is to analyze, review, interpret and find new finding on the effect of progressive
muscle relaxation for anxiety based on the literature review. The metod used is
literature review. Article for 2015-2020 through Science direct, Smantic schoolar,
and Google schoolar. Based on 193 articles only 5 articles met the study inclusion
criteria. From the implementation steps, 2 articles using progressive muscle
relaxation techniques from Edmund Jacobson. From the 5 articles analyzed, it
was found that progressive muscle relaxation was carried out withnin 10-30
minutes with a period of 3 days to 5 weeks of therapy. Statistical analysis shows
that progressive muscle relaxation therapy can significantly reduce student anxiety
with the statistical value p = (0,000) to p = (0,05). Progressive muscle relaxation
therapy has been proven to reduce student anxiety levels. Progressive muscle
relaxation ttherapy is easy to carry out anywhere and anytime and has so side
effects.
