Peran United Nation Children’s Fund (Unicef) Dalam Menangani Eksploitasi Anak-Anak Korban Perang Suriah Di Turki Tahun 2017-2019
This research describes the roles of the United Nations Children's Fund
(UNICEF) in dealing with the exploitation of children victims of the Syrian war in
Turkey. The Syrian war has resulted in a sizeable humanitarian crisis. As a result,
children who are victims are forced to flee to Turkey in order to get a sense of
security and comfort. However, in the refugee camps the children still experience
crises such as poverty, violence, exploitation, discrimination and health problems.
This research uses a pluralism perspective. Pluralists view that the
International Organization is an actor who plays a role in relations between
countries. This study uses the theory of International Organizations to explain the
role of UNICEF on the relationships observed. This research uses qualitative and
descriptive methods with a level of group behavior analysis. To analyze this case,
the authors collected data from books, journals, websites and official reports.
This research shows that UNICEF as an international organization that
focuses on fulfilling the basic rights of children has played its role in responding
to Syrian child refugees in Turkey. Through its programs, UNICEF has made
efforts by going directly to the field and conducting various collaborations with
the government and other non-governmental organizations so that Syrian children
in Turkey can retain their basic rights.
