ABSTRACT
Drug abuse is increasing every year in Indonesia. A drug is any substance that
has a hallucinatory effect and addiction. The bad effects of drug abuse are
damaging to physical and mental health. Rehabilitation programs are the best
solution for drug addiction recovery, so a center is needed as a place to
accommodate all the activities of the program. Pekanbaru City currently lacks
number of drug rehabilitation center facilities and has passed health
standards. This problem can be solved by designing a drug rehabilitation
building in Pekanbaru with application of healing environment. The processing
of architectural elements at the rehabilitation building is expected to
accelerate the patient's recovery process. The healing environment is applied
to design because it has important principle for the healing process of drug
addicts, there are psychological, human sensory and environmental.
