Perancangan Pineapple Center Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Biofilik Di Kualu Nenas

ABSTRACT
Kualu Nenas is a village where people live in agriculture, plantations and daily
laborers. The most famous agricultural product and the fresh fruit is pineapple.
The abundant pineapple production in the Kualu Nenas area can increase
farmers' income by directly marketing pineapple products to consumers or
traders. Most of the pineapple farmers in the Kampar area market pineapples in
the form of fresh fruit on the side of the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang road. Traders
who sell on the side of the road attract less consumer interest so that little sales
are generated. To take advantage of the abundant pineapple production and
support the sales of pineapples, a Pineapple Center is needed which is able to
attract consumer interest so that it can improve the economy of the local
community. The Pineapple Center operates in a building as a commercial facility
that accommodates various activities related to pineapples, such as selling
various kinds of processed pineapples for food and handicraft products made
from pineapple leaf fiber, making it an educational center such as how to process
pineapple and pineapple cultivation. The method used in this design is the
primary method in the form of a survey, and various literature sources as a
secondary method. The architectural design of the Pineapple Center uses the
theme of Biophilic Architecture where this theme creates harmony between
architectural objects and the natural environment around it, by applying the
concept of natural patterns in space (nature in the space) with the principle of
direct and indirect relationships with nature. The application of this theme is
expected to be able to become a new image of the pineapple processing center in
Kualu Nenas Village which attracts the interest of the public and tourists from
outside with its characteristics and becomes an industrial building icon which can
then have an impact on the regional economic growth of Kualu Nenas Village.
