Indonesia is one of the countries with rapid technological developments in the
automotive sector. This is because Indonesia has a society that is quite fanatical
about the development of automotive technology. Currently the automotive world
itself is not only a hobby, but has also become a lifestyle in society. People's
desire in the automotive world is very high but is hampered by the lack of support
from facilities to the environment. With the facilities and a supportive
environment, it is hoped that it will give birth to talents in automotive
development. One of the talents in the automotive world is a racer. Therefore, a
circuit will be designed which will accommodate and educate talented racers with
the aim of developing skills and being able to produce achievements as racers.
Indonesia already has several racing circuit areas, but the development of the
racing area is not running smoothly, one of which is the Jakabaring racing circuit
in Palembang, therefore a design will be carried out on the racing circuit. The
MotoGP circuit is one of the buildings that signifies technological developments
that will be seen and will be visited by people from all over the world to watch the
MotoGP racing event. Toyo Ito was a prominent architectural figure who
developed contemporary ideas, and is considered one of the most innovative and
influential architects in the world. Therefore, Toyo Ito's design principles are very
appropriate for the theme in designing the Jakabaring MotoGP circuit.
