“Penggunaan Media Sosial Aplikasi Tiktok Bagi Mahasiswa Sosiologi Universitas Riau Kota Pekanbaru”
This study aims to determine the factors of social media users of the Tiktok
application for sociology students. The factor is seen from three aspects, namely
(1) Trends, (2) (3) Fast Viral Content, Having Strengths that are Easy to
Understand, Work Fast and Have a Little Duration. Of course, each factor
provides a different factor from the three factors seen in the Tiktok Application
Social Media User. This research was conducted at the University of Riau, Fisipol
(Faculty of Social and Political Sciences). To get the results of the research the
writer used descriptive quantitative method with the number of respondents as
many as 58 students. The results of this study indicate that the factors that make
social media users switch to the Tiktok application have factors with the moderate
category of Tiktok content which is fast viral, namely entertaining content factors,
content that is often shared with other social media so that those who do not use
the Tiktok application can access Tiktok on other social media hers. Also on the
trend factor which is categorized as moderate and the Tiktok application factor
that is easy to understand, works fast, and has a little duration with the moderate
category.
