ABSTRACT
This study aims to produce lemon seedlings from various cuttings origins with good quality standards. The research has done at the Kebun Percobaan of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau, Bina Widya Campus KM 12.5, Simpang Baru, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted for three months from July to October 2018 and conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the different type origins of cuttings; lower stem, middle stem and upper stem. The second factor is the dose of auxin growth regulator; 0 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, and 300 ppm. The observed parameters were days of shoot appears, number of shoots, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, and root volume. The data obtained were analyzed using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) program. The results showed that there was no interaction between the different type origin of cuttings and the dose of auxin on the growth components of lemon seedlings on the parameters were days of shoot appears, number of shoots, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, and root volume. The single factor of auxin growth regulator had a significant effect on the parameters of number of shoots, root length, and root volume. The dose of 200 ppm auxin growth regulator gave a better effect on all observation parameters .
