Uji Fitokimia Dan Aktivitas Antibakteri Dari Ekstrak Daun Mangrove Xylocarpus Granatum Dalam Menghambat Pertumbuhan Bakteri Patogen (Aeromonas Hydrophilla, Staphylococcus Aereus, Dan Pseudomonas Aeruginosa)
ABSTRACT
Mengkapan City is one of the largest mangrove areas in Indonesia. One of the
mangrove plants that have the potential as a drug and has been used traditionally is
Xylocarpus granatum. This research has been carried out in March 2021. Samples are
taken in the area of Mengkapan City. Phytochemicaltest and antibacterial are carried out
at the Marine Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine. This
study aims to determine the chemical compounds contained from X. granatum mangrove
leaf extracts and determine the best inhibitory zone concentrations that can inhibit the
growth of A. hydrophilla, S. aereus and P. aeruginosa bacteria. The method used in this
study is an experimental method, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using 4
concentrations of 12,5%, 25%, 50%, 100%, chloramphenicol (positive control) and
aquadest (negative control) and perform 3 repetitions. The result of the phytochemical
test of X. granatum leaf extract contained the following compounds: alkaloids,
flavonoids,tannins, and steroids. Antibacterial test result showed an inhibitory zone. The
best concentration to inhibit the growth of A. hydrophilla, S. aereus and P. aeruginosa is
100% concentration and the lowest yield is at 12,5% concentration.
