Struktur Komunitas Vegetasi Mangrove Di Kecamatan Sungai Sembilan Kota Dumai

Mangroves are one of the important ecosystems in coastal areas that grow
in places that are still affected by tides. This research was conducted in October
until November 2020 in the mangrove ecosystem of Sungai Sembilan Sub
District, Dumai City, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine
the mangrove vegetation structure in Sungai Sembilan Sub District, Dumai City,
including the composition of mangrove vegetation types, density values,
mangrove community index values and mangrove important value index (INP
Mangrove) in Sungai Sembilan Sub District, Dumai City. The method used in this
research is a survey method, and uses 4 stations. Environmental physics
parameters are measured in situ, the results obtained in the research location are
temperature 29-30 C, salinity 5-21 ‰. and pH 4.16-6.56. The data analysis is
described in the form of environmental tables and graphs including the mangrove
species Avicennia alba, Avicennia mariana, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora
mucronata, Sonneratia alba, Xylocarpus granatum and Nypa fruticans and
mangrove vegetation density in Sungai Sembilan Sub District at station I has a
value of 1311.11 trees / hectare, for station II has a value of 1388.89 trees /
hectare, for station III it has The value is 1422.22 trees / hectare, and for station
IV it has a value of 888.89 trees / hectare, from stations I, II and III the criteria are
moderate, while at station IV the criteria are damaged. The diversity index value
(H ') ranges from 1.70 to 2.36 so that all stations can be categorized as having
moderate species diversity. The uniformity index value (E) at all stations is close
to 0, which means that the individual distribution is not balanced. The dominance
index value (C) ranges from 0.12 to 0.33, which means that it has relatively low
dominance criteria at all stations. Based on the importance value, the vegetation
type Rhizophora apiculata dominates with a greater importance in each station
based on the categories of trees, saplings and seedlings.
