Skrining Fitokimia Dan Sensitivitas Ekstrak Daun Bruguiera Gymnorrhiza Dalam Menghambat Pertumbuhan Bakteri Patogen Staphylococcus Aureus, Aeromonas Hydrophilla, Dan Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
ABSTRACT
Tumu Merah (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza) is a mangrove plant that can be used
as food. The content of compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols,
terpenoids, steroids, and saponins can be used for antimicrobial, anticancer, and
antileukemic properties. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of
mangrove leaf extract of B. gymnorrhiza in inhibiting the growth of S. aureus, A.
hydrophila,and P. aeroginosa bacteria and determine the best dose that can be
used to reduce the possibility of spreading disease in aquatic organisms. This
study used an experimental method with 4 concentration levels, namely 12.5%,
25%, 50% and 100%, as well as negative control and positive control by doing 3
repetitions. B. gymnorrhiza extract can inhibit the pathogenic bacteria P.
aeruginosa and A. hydrophilla in the strong to very strong category, while for
inhibiting the pathogenic bacteria S. aureus it is in the weak category. The highest
clear zone was found in the pathogenic bacterium A. hydrophilla and the lowest
was found in the pathogenic bacterium S. aureus.
