This research discusses the interests of Indonesia in carrying out domestic
content level policies for smartphones, TKDN is intended so that Indonesia can
develop natural resources and human resources that are abundant and owned.
Seeing the large imports of smartphones in 2014-2017, Indonesia is considered to
have to find a solution to overcome this.
This research uses the perspective of liberalism using the theory of state
interests, in the interests of the country, Indonesia has only been a large smartphone
market but with this policy Indonesia wants to get a large profit
This policy resulted in an increase in terms of opening employment which is
currently a problem because of Indonesia's abundant workforce, and with this policy
the local manufacturers themselves are able to absorb knowledge from advanced
foreign manufacturers to be able to produce products that can compete so that they
are no longer just import but can export it out
