Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Berbahan Azolla Microphylla Terhadap Pertumbuhan Populasi Dan Kandungan Klorofil Pada Spirulina Platensis
ABSTRACT
Spirulina platensis is one of the microalgae that has the potential as a good natural food
and contains high value bioactive compounds, one of which is chlorophyll pigment.
Utilization of natural materials such as Azolla microphylla as an alternative culture medium
that has macro and micro elements needed for S. platensis to grow and develop. This
research was conducted from April to May 2021, at the Marine Microbiology Laboratory.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of fertilizer application made from A.
microphylla on population growth and chlorophyll content in S. platensis and to determine
the optimal concentration of fertilizer made from Azolla which could increase population
growth and chlorophyll content in this microalgae. The method used in this study is an
experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment used in
this study was to present different concentrations of liquid fertilizer A. microphylla. The
results of this study indicate that the concentration of Azolla microphylla fertilizer which
produces a density density in treatment B (5 ml/L) is 321,500 cells/ml while the
concentration of Azolla fertilizer which produces the best chlorophyll content in treatment
C (7 ml/L) is 0.362 g/L. highest growth on day 12 (peak population).
