Optimasi Pertumbuhan Bakteri Proteolitik Bacillus Toyonensis Pada Salinitas Dan Konsentrasi Limbah Cair Tahu Berbeda
ABSTRACT
Proteolythic bacteria, including Bacillus toyonensis, have potencial to be
used in feed industry and in processing of industrial waste. To cultivate the
bacteria requires enviromental condition and substrate appropriate for the growth.
The objective of this researcg was to observe the growth of bacillus toyonensis in
different salinity and tofu wastewarer concentration. This study used completely
randomized factorial design. It consits of two factors, salinity (0‰,15‰ dan
30‰) and tofu wastewater consentrations (8%;10%; dan 12%). Bacterial cell
growth was measured by the spectrophotometric method and Total Plate Count
(TPC) method, while the incubation period for cell growth was measured every 0,
24, 48, 72 and 96 hours. The results of this study indicated that medium the
growth is optimal for B. toyonensis is A3B3 medium, at tofu wastewater
consentration as much 12% and salinity 30‰ at hours 48.
