Strategi Bumdes Dalam Pengembangan Unit Usaha Pariwisata (Studi Kasus Bumdes Banglas Bestari Di Desa Banglas Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti)

This research is motivated by the desire of the community to build an
independent village and find a way out of the problem of the impact of environmental
damage through the maintenance and development of ecotourism. Environmental
damage to mangrove forests in Meranti Islands Regency is getting worse, coastal
abrasion has eroded all coastal areas in Meranti. Without exception the coastal areas
in Banglas Village. Through the BUMDes Banglas Bestari strategy in tourism
development, the mangrove forest environment has now become the Rainbow Bridge
Ecotourism which has been appreciated by all visitors and the Meranti community.
The purpose of this study was to analyze and develop appropriate strategies for
BUMDes Banglas Bestari in developing tourism business units in Banglas Village,
Meranti Islands Regency. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method
approach. The research data was obtained directly through interviews with informants,
and the formulation of the strategy was determined by SWOT analysis from the IFAS
and EFAS tables.
The results of this study identify and formulate strategies for business entities
owned by the village of Banglas Bestari to produce SO strategies where strengths and
opportunities are strong and large. The recommended strategy given is a progressive
strategy, meaning that the organization is in prime and stable condition so that it is
very possible to continue to expand, increase growth and achieve maximum progress.
This situation is very profitable, because the power possessed can be utilized for the
opportunities that exist.
