Potensi Ekowisata Hutan Mangrove Di Desa Banglas Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
Riau Province is one of the provinces that boasts the mangrove ecosystem of over
143 thousand ha. With the extent of the mangrove forest, Riau Province is expected
to become the mangrove research and development center on the Sumatera island.
This research was conducted from February - May 2021 in the Banglas Village,
Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province, to learn of the potential of mangrove
ecosystems in the Banglas Village to be used as ecotourism area and to know the
level of participation and perception of community and stakeholders. Determination
of sampling point by means of purposive sampling. Mangrove forest of Banglas
Village has various types of mangrove. The vegetation of mangroves identified in the
observation plot were consisting of 4 families and 5 species. The mangrove forest of
the village of banglas is made ecotourism, for it meets the terms of ecotourism,
assessment criteria can serve as guides in ecotourism such as the thickness or fragility
of trees, the plant or animal kinds of mangrove, the infrastructure that supports and
the perception of various communities.
