Kelimpahan Dan Pola Distribusi Gastropoda Di Kawasan Intertidal Pantai Kambang Kecamatan Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat
ABSTRACT
The study seeks out gastropods' abundance and distribution patterns in the
intertidal bay of Kambang Lengayang Sub-District, Southern Coastal district,
West Sumatra. The benefit of this research is expected to be a reference or
information for further research on the bay of Kambang that is ultimately
expected to minimize the bad effects of gastropod hunting. The research method
used in this study is the survey method of direct observation and sample removal
which is divided into 3 stations where a sampling station 1 is taking in the coastal
waters of the bay in an area where there is no public activity, station 2 is taking in
the bay waters of the fishing trawler area, station 3 is taking in the coastal waters
of Kambang in the reclamation area. Based on analysis of the sedimentary organic
material in the research area found an average value on station 1 (3.55%), station
2 (4.20%) and station 3 (3,33%). Based on analysis done describing the
sedimentary fraction that dominates each station is sand. The gastropods found at
the research site of cerithulata, clypeomorus bifasciata, scabra littoraria and
cingulate cingulate. Gastropods' abundance in the coastal waters of Kambang
ranges from 2.33-5,00 Ind/m2. The result of a ANOVA test is known that a
gastropod abundance in the bay waters indicates 0.214 of the beach indicates that
the difference in abundance between stations is not real. The pattern of gastropods
found at the research site is generally grouped.
