Diplomasi Kebudayaan Indonesia Terhadap Korea Selatan Kepada Ikyep (Indonesia Korea Youth Exchange Program)

Cultural Diplomacy between Indonesia and South Korea through youth
exchange programs or also known as IKYEP (Indonesian Korean Youth Exchange
Program) during President Joko Widodo's tenure, 2014-2019. The spread of the
Korean Wave in Indonesia influenced Indonesia and South Korea to collaborate in
various fields, including in the field of education such as youth exchanges and expert
exchanges, and gave rise to several forms of Indonesia-Korean diplomacy.
This research uses a qualitative explanative method with a level of analysis of
the nation-state. The theory used in this research is the theory of diplomacy in the
perspective of pluralism. To analyze this research, the authors collected documents
from books, journals, websites, dictionaries, as well as various information from the
Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia for Korea, with aim of getting benefits, both
academically and practically.
Based on the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that this study shows that
the Youth Exchange Program has been successfully implemented by both Indonesia
and South Korea, seeing the large number of enthusiasts participating in this program
from each country. And this program is one way to strengthen cooperation between
Indonesia and South Korea, especially in the field of education.
