Bronze featherback (Notopterus notopterus, Pallas 1769) is one of the freshwater fish commodity that has excellent economic value. Currently, community's needs for bronze featherback are still obtained from nature. This makes the population of bronze featherback in nature decreasing. It is necessary to carry out bronze featherback cultivation activities to fulfiil the needs of the community and maintain its existence in nature. The important aspects in cultivation activities are stocking density and the type of feed. Stocking densities that are too low will cause less effective cultivation activities, because they cannot utilize the area of the container optimally. The type of feed is an important part of aquaculture. If the feed given is not in accordance with the type of fish, it will cause the fish not to eat the feed and the growth of the fish will be disrupted. Trash fish and local mussel are materials that are easy to find and have nutritional value to be used as fish feed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of production, feed retention and glycogen accumulation of bronze featherback that cultivated with stocking density and different types of feed.
This study was conducted from May to August 2020 in Sungai Paku Village, Kampar Kiri sub district, Kampar district. The method used in this study was a randomized complete design with two factor. The factors used are stocking density and type of feed. The first factor is stocking density consisting of 5, 10 and 15 fish/m3 while the second factor is the type of feed consisting of trash fish and local mussel feed. Bronze featherback fish are kept in cages measuring 1 x 1 x 1.3 m3 with a water height of 1 m. Bronze featherback was cultivated 90 days by feeding according to the research treatment (trash fish and local mussels). Feed was given 3 times/day at 5%/body weight at 08.00, 12.00 and 16.00 WIB. The measured variables were absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, specific growth rate, survival rate, protein retention, fat retention, muscle glycogen, liver glycogen and water quality. Bronze featherback are reared with a stocking density of 5 fish/m3 with trash fish feed resulted in the best production performance, feed retention and glycogen accumulation with absolute weight growth value of 50.05 g, absolute length growth 11.48 cm, specific growth 2.83%, survival (86.7%), protein retention 68.68%, fat retention 34.11%, muscle glycogen 28.86% and liver glycogen 0.58%. Water quality during the

maintenance of bronze featherback was classified as good, the average temperature value was 25-290C, the average DO value was 4-5,5 ppm and the average pH was 6.3-7
The results showed rearing bronze featherback with a density of 5 fish/m3 with trash fish feed resulted in the best performance, Feed retention and glycogen accumulation.
