Perbedaan Pengerutan Pada Jaring Insang Terhadap Hasil Tangkapan Di Desa Panipahan Kecamatan Pasir Limau Kapas Kabupaten Rokan Hilir

ABSTRACT
Fishermen in Panipahan still use traditional fishing gear, one of which is
gill net. This study aims to determine the effect of shortening on nets on the catch
of gill nets which was carried out with 5 trials each. This research was conducted
in May 2020 in Panipahan Village, Pasir Limau Kapas sub-district, Rokan Hilir
Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method by direct
observation to Tangkahan with fishermen and ship owners. The fish caught in the
gill net fishing process consisted of small pelagic and demersal fish, as many as
562 individuals with a total weight of 60 kg. The best catches on gill nets with
20% shortening were 421 fish with a weight of 45 kg, while in gill nets with 30%
shortening the catch was 141 fish with a weight of 15 kg.
