The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the principal's academic supervision and teacher pedagogic competence on the performance of elementary school teachers in Rupat sub-district. The background of the research is based on the description of the performance of elementary school teachers in Rupat District, it is suspected that many teachers already have good performance, but there are also teacher performances that have not been fully implemented properly. Teachers have their own potential to display good performance. However, there are factors that can hinder teachers from showing their optimal potential. So, teachers need continuous coaching and mentoring. This coaching can be carried out by participating in the Education Supervision program. In addition, teacher performance can also be influenced by the competencies possessed by the teacher personally. The competence of teachers as professional educators is needed to be able to assist students in developing themselves and their potential. The research method applied in this research is ex post facto. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers in cluster IV in Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency, amounting to 90 people. The research sample was taken using the total sampling technique. So it can be concluded that the sample of this study was 56 teachers. Data collection techniques, namely documentation and questionnaires (questionnaires). Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The implementation of academic supervision and the teacher's pedagogic ability have a significant effect on teacher performance. The magnitude of the influence of the Principal Academic Supervision (X1) and Teacher Pedagogic Competence (X2) on Teacher Performance (Y) is 42.6% and 57.4% is determined by other factors that are not part of this study such as teacher motivation, principal leadership schools and other variables related to teacher performance.
