Pengaruh Supervisi Manajerial Pengawas Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMP Di Kecamatan Bathin Solapan Kabupaten Bengkalis
This study aims to analyze the effect of supervisory managerial supervision
and work motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in Bathin
Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency. The background of the problem in this
research is that teachers do not have optimal teacher performance. There are still
many teachers who carry out their duties and their performance is not in
accordance with the tasks given. This suboptimal performance situation, in this
study, was analyzed by linking the concepts of supervisory managerial
supervision and work motivation. This managerial supervision is needed so that
teachers can carry out their duties properly in accordance with the rules to
achieve educational goals. The better the managerial supervision of the teacher in
carrying out his duties, the better the teacher's performance. In addition to
managerial supervision, another factor that affects teacher performance is work
motivation. Work motivation is a set of characteristics of the work environment,
which are assessed directly or indirectly by teachers who are considered to be the
main force in influencing teacher behavior. This illustrates that work motivation
is a state or condition in a series that directly or indirectly, consciously or
unconsciously can affect the teacher.
Quantitative type, a sample of 157 people and data were collected by using
a questionnaire to determine five choices and then the data were analyzed using
descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study found a significant
effect of managerial supervision on teacher performance and obtained a
significant effect of work motivation on teacher performance. In addition, there is
a significant influence of supervisory mana.gerial supervision and work
motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in Bathin Solapan
District, Bengkalis Regency. This finding concludes that the better the
supervisor's managerial supervision and work motivation, the better the teacher's
performance. This research is expected to be useful for improving teacher
performance with supervisory managerial supervision and work motivation in
carrying out their obligations when carrying out learning activities and fostering
students at school.
