Perbandingan Quality Of Service Pada Tethering Dari Empat Smartphone Android

ABSTRACT
With current technological developments, digital equipment has become our daily
necessity, one example is an Android smartphone. In an Android Smartphone
device, there are features that can be used to share internet connections, namely
Wifi Tethering. Tethering is a Wifi feature on your Android Smartphone that can
be used as a mobile hotspot. But in fact, the Wifi Tethering feature is still of little
use, because there are still many mobile device users such as Android Smartphones
and Tablet PCs who don't know this Wifi Tethering feature and these users only use
the internet privately. Therefore, this study discusses the use of Wifi Tethering on
an Android Smartphone. The focus of the discussion that will be done is to
determine how the Quality of Service on Tethering. This test uses the Wireshark
application for monitoring the download test process and capturing test results.
The average index results from the Throughput, Delay, Packet Loss values of the
four Smartphones used are 4 and based on the TIPHON Standard it is categorized
as Very Good. For the average index of the Jitter value is 3 and based on the
TIPHON Standard it is in the Good category.
