Government policy in waste management is an important thing in a
government, because it mantains comfort in the community. The problem in this
study is the Pekanbaru Ciry Government has not been optimal in anticipacing
the landfill that occurs when there is a transferof cooperation contracs between
the government and 3rd patients. The government’s anticipation has not been
maximized to make landfills occur in the long term.
The purpose ofthis study was to find out how the Pekanbaru city
government’s policies and actions were in anticipacing the landfill that occurred
during thr transfer of a cooperation contract with a 3rd part in Tampan subdistrict
in 2021. The research approach used was a qualitative approach and the
type of research used was descriptive. The location of this research was carried
out in Tampan Distric, Pekanbaru City and data collectiontechniques were
carried out by interview and documentation.
The results of this study are the first Pekanbaru City government policy in
anticipacing the landfill that occurs during the transfer of cooperation contracs
with 3rd parties, namely the policy to do something or not do something. The
Pekanbru city government has made a policy not to make written regulations,
bur the Pekanbaru city government has taken a policy to take direct action or
technical action in the field, namely transporting waste at every point that is
piled up.
