Pengembangan Majalah Elektronik Biologi Berbasis Multimedia Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Dan Penguasaan Konsep Siswa Kelas X SMA/Ma
Education is one of the human needs to improve and explore the potential that exists in humans. Improvement and development occurred in several aspects, including cognitive aspects, psychomotor aspects and affective aspects. The implementation of learning is the key to success of achieve the quality graduate competencies. Students who are able to achieve graduate competence have a great chance of success in the next life.
The results of interview conducted with biology teachers in SMA/MA Pekanbaru, information was obtained that during the current pandemic teachers use digital books obtained on the internet as learning resources and are assisted with learning media such as PPT, videos and pictures sent via whatsapp group application and google classroom . The teacher stated that during learning that took place either online or offline, students seemed less enthusiastic and less motivated in learning. Indications of the lack of student motivation can be seen from the slowness of students in doing assignments, sometimes some of students complaining and neglecting the assignments given. The low motivation to learn has an impact on the results of students' concepts. of mastery.
This study aims to determine the quality and effect of multimedia-based biology electronic magazine developed on students' learning motivation and concept of mastery. This research consists of two stages, namely the first stage of developing an electronic biology magazine using Research & Development through the ADDIE approach in the Masters Program of FKIP UNRI, the second stage of experimentation at MAN 4 Pekanbaru. The development stage which aims to see the quality of the multimedia-based biological electronic magazine was carried out based on the results of validation by a team of the experts, the results of practical tests by educational practitioners, and the results of student responses. Biology electronic magazine validation involves 2 experts (media expert and material expert). Validation of biological electronic magazines by experts using validation sheets. The practicality test phase involved 2 teachers, namely SMA PGRI Pekanbaru and SMAN 7 Pekanbaru, and the student response test phase involved 10 students. The practicality assessment and student response to the electronic biology magazine used a practicality questionnaire and a student response test questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis assisted by Microsoft Office Excel 2010. The experimental stage was to see the effect of the multimedia-based biology electronic magazine developed on students' learning motivation and mastery of concepts. The assessment of learning motivation used a learning motivation questionnaire before and after the treatment, while the assessment of students' mastery of concepts used a pretest and posttest. Data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 23 software.
The results of research on the development of an electronic biology magazine show that the quality of the product developed was carried out based on the results of validation by a team of experts with an average score of 4.38 very valid categories. The practicality test by the teacher as a practitioner with an average of 4.59 in the very practical category, and the student response test with an average of 4.53 in the very good category. The results of the research at the experimental stage showed that there was a significant effect of using multimedia-based electronic magazines on students' learning motivation and mastery of concepts, namely in the experimental class learning motivation before treatment 60.03 good enough category increased to 87.18 very good category after treatment with a percentage N-Gain 67.54% with quite effective interpretation, while in the control class 55.75 good enough category to 74.94 good category with a percentage of N-Gain 40.49 with less effective

interpretation, mastery of the concept of the experimental class obtained a pretest mean value of 51 ,87 very poor category became the posttest average of 81.60 very good category with an N-Gain percentage of 57.62% with a fairly effective interpretation, while the control class pretest obtained an average of 47.86 very poor category and posttest average 72.28 category was quite good with the percentage of N-Gain is 46.11% with a less effective category. This means that the experimental class consists of the increase in learning motivation was in the very good and quite effective category and the concept of mastery was very good and quite effective compared to the control class.
Based on the results of the development and testing of the effectiveness of the multimedia-based biology electronic magazine, it can be seen that the quality of the multimedia-based biology electronic magazine is very good, and the increase in learning motivation and mastery of concepts in the experimental class increases significantly.
