Penampilan Dan Sidik Lintas Antar Karakter Agronomi Pada Beberapa Genotipe Tomat (Solanum Lycopersicum)
ABSTRACT
The aim of this study to know the performances of agronomic characters in several tomato
genotypes, the correlation between agronomic characters in several tomato genotypes, and
the direct effect or indirect effect between these agronomic characters. This study was
conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RAK) with 10 treatments and 3
replications, so there are 30 experimental units. Observations included age of flowering
plant, age of harvest plant, plant height, canopy width, fruit weight by plant, number of
fruit by plant, weight by fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit flesh thickness. The data
obtained were analyzed by analysis of varians (ANOVA) then continued with duncan’s
multiple range test (DMRT) using software that is SAS 9.0. After that, data were analyzed
for correlation and path analysis. The result of this study is that there are variations in the
performances of agronomic characters in several tomato genotypes. Genoype treatment
significantly affected all agronomic characters of tomato plants, except plant height. There
is a very significant positive correlation between the characters of plant height, canopy
width, and number of fruit by plant to fruit weight by plant. In addition, there is a
significant negative correlation between the characters age of flowering plant and age of
harvest plant to fruit weight by plant. The other results is that there is the greatest value of
direct effect on the charecters of canopy width with fruit weight by plant compared to
others.
