Kualitas Visum Et Repertum Penganiayaan Di Rs Bhayangkara Dumai Provinsi Riau Tahun 2016 – 2020

Visum et Repertum (VeR) is a written medical statement made by a doctor on the basis of a
request from the police or investigators and to prove a patient suspected of being a victim of a
crime, medical examinations are carried out on humans, living or dead or on parts of the
human body. In this case, the findings of the medical examination are recorded and interpreted
in writing, under oath and used for the benefit of the judicial process. VeR has 3 important
roles in the process of handling a criminal case, namely the first as valid evidence, the second
as evidence of the detention of the suspect, and the third as material for judge's consideration.
This study aims to determine the quality of VeR cases of abuse at Bhayangkara Dumai
Hospital, Riau Province for the period 2016 – 2020. This type of research is retrospective
descriptive with a cross sectional research design conducted from October 2021 to January
2022. The data in this study were taken from Visum et Repertum cases of abuse made by doctors
who worked at the Bhayangkara Dumai Hospital, Riau Province in 2016 - 2020 with the total
sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the quality of Visum et Repertum of
persecution at Bhayangkara Dumai Hospital, Riau Province in 2016 - 2020 is worth 82.33%
which means good quality.
