Perilaku Dan Status Kesehatan Gigi Dan Mulut Pelajar Mts Muhammadiyah Penyasawan Kabupaten Kampar

The most common dental and oral health problems encountered, especially in Indonesia, are
dental caries in children. In this case, the behavior of maintaining dental and oral health is
determined by good knowledge for the formation of action and is supported by a positive
attitude. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes and actions as well
as to determine the dental and oral health status of students at MTs Muhammadiyah
Pengasawan, Kampar Regency. The design of this research is a descriptive survey with a
minimum sample of 107 students of MTs Muhammadiyah Pengasawan, Kampar Regency,
carried out in December 2021 - February 2022. This study uses primary data in the form of
filling out questionnaires and observing teeth and mouth. Based on the results of the study,
almost all of them had good knowledge (96.5%), some had good attitudes (53.5%), almost all
had sufficient actions (79.8%) and the most dominant DMF-T index was the category moderate
(42.1%).
