The study discussed onomatopoeia’s impacts on the Japanese shounen manga comic. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The study aims to describe the taxonomy of impacts and their meanings found in comics. The study focused on onomatopoeia’s types that showed the sound of inanimate objects, particularly impacts. Studies have shown that there are seven types of impacts: impacts produced by hard objects with hard ones, impacts produced by beats, impacts produced by falling hard objects, impacts produced by claps, impacts produced by punches with fists, and onomatopoeia’s produced from slaps. Onomatopoeia’s found in the comic book has a strong, heavy sense of sound
