Analisis Komponen Utama Dan Gerombol Pada 20 Genotipe Cabai (Capsicum Sp.) Yang Ditanam Di Lahan Gambut
ABSTRACT
Chilli is one of the important horticultural crops. Productivity of chilli in Riau has
not been maximized because most of the land is peatlands, so it is necessary to
assemble an adaptive chilli variety on peatlands. So, the purpose of this research
was to obtain information about the qualitative and quantitative characters of the
genetic diversity of 20 chili genotypes and to analyze their similarity as the basis
for the selection of parental crossbreeds in the assembly of chili varieties in
peatland. There were 20 genotypes of chili planted on peatlands of Tuah Karya
Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province and analyzed at the
Plant Breeding Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University in
November 2020-April 2021. There were 22 qualitative characters and 13
quantitative characters are identified. Qualitative data was transformed into
quantitative data based on the International Plant Genetic Resource Institute
(IPGRI) and quantitative data was the average data. Principal component analysis
and cluster analysis were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 20 software. Results
showed the grouping of red chili plants based on principal component analysis
and cluster analysis into four clusters at 82,5% similarity level and 57,53%
diversity proportion. The Grouping of cayenne pepper plants based on principal
component analysis and cluster analysis into two clusters at 90% similarity level
and 72.80% diversity proportion.
