Penampilan Karakter Agronomi Dan Analisis Kemiripan 16 Genotipe Tomat (Solanum Lycopersicum L.) Di Dataran Rendah
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the appearance of the agronomic characters of 16 tomato
genotypes and the kinship based on the similarity between the tomato genotypes tested
in the lowlands. The research was carried out for 6 months at the Experimental Garden
and Plant Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru.
The study used a randomized block design consisting of 16 treatments with 3
replications, so there were 48 experimental units. The treatments used were 16 tomato
genotypes collected from the plant breeding laboratory of the Bogor Agricultural
University (IPB). The observed characters consist of quantitative and qualitative
characters. Quantitative data were analyzed statistically using variance and followed
by Duncan's multiple distance test at 5% level. Qualitative data were analyzed using
similarity analysis, namely principal component and cluster analysis. The results of the
quantitative characters analyzed showed that SG15 had an advantage on the
appearance of the character weight per fruit compared to other genotypes, then SG2
had an advantage on the display of the character of fruit weight per plant compared to
other genotypes and SG16 had an advantage on the display of the number of fruit
characters per plant compared to other genotypes. . This is due to genetic and
environmental factors. The results of the qualitative character analysis showed that the
grouping of 16 tomato genotypes based on the clustering of main components 1 and 2 at
80% similarity level dendogram cuts resulted in 3 groups which were influenced by the
main component constituent characters. The closest similarity of the 16 genotypes
tested based on the observed qualitative characteristics was found in SG8 and SG9
because they had a Euclidean distance value of 0.0, while the furthest similarity was
SG1 and SG16 with the largest Euclidean distance value of 301.0.
