ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of costs, revenue
receipts and the feasibility of farming in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City.
The research method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative
methods. Descriptive method is used to analyze the data by describing the things
that are encountered in the problems discussed and associated with theories and
references that are relevant to the problems studied. Quantitative method was
used to calculate the analysis of production costs, revenue, income and feasibility
of papaya farming. The sampling in this study was purposive sampling.
The results of the analysis show: the average total revenue from 17
respondents of papaya farmers is Rp. 19,023,529/ha. The average net income of
papaya farmers in Tenayan Raya District in January-June 2021 is Rp.
12,541,031/ha and the average family work income is Rp. 1,117,059. For the
results of the calculation of the feasibility of farming, the R/C ratio value is 4.00
and the B/C ratio is 3.00. This means that for every Rp. 1 that is issued by the
farmer, it will provide a profit of Rp. 4.00 and Rp. 3.00. In accordance with the
eligibility criteria obtained if the R/C ratio and B/C ratio > 1, then farming is
feasible or profitable from the financial aspect. Meanwhile, for BEP in
production, 2.161 Kg is obtained and for BEP in production selling price is Rp.
1.022/Kg then the situation is not profit or loss, in fact the price per kg of papaya
reaches Rp. 3,000/Kg.
