ABSTRACT
The more developed science and technology, the more impact it will have
on human life, especially electronic devices at home. In water reservoirs in
homes, usually the owner of the water pump cannot know the condition of the
reservoir at home, so usually the owner of the house runs out of water when he
wants to use it and the reservoir that has been full for a long time is due to the
absence of automation in the water pump used. This study seeks to design a device
that can control one water pump to be used in filling three reservoirs, where the
reservoir filling path will be regulated by a solenoid valve. It also aims to limit the
excessive use of electrical energy in the water pump, so that it can be monitored
by the landlord. This research was conducted at Yulihamri's rented house on
Jalan Merak Sakti. In testing the measurement of electrical energy without using
a control, the results obtained in the first reservoir of 1253,99 Wh, the second
reservoir of 2072,83 Wh and the third reservoir of 2136,27 Wh. Meanwhile, in
testing the measurement of electrical energy using the control system, the results
obtained in the first reservoir of 1234,70 Wh, the second reservoir of 1754,52 Wh
and the third reservoir of 1644,12 Wh. The electrical energy saving of the water
pump before using the control system and after using the control system is 15%.
