Pemetaan Qos Wireless Di Lingkungan Fakultas Teknik Berbasis Gis (Geographic Information System)
ABSTRACT
Wireless or often referred to as wifi is a well-known technology that utilizes
electronic equipment to exchange data wirelessly (using radio waves) over a
network. computer, including a high-speed Internet connection. Given that many
users want to have fast, cheap and flexible access. But so far there have been some
users complaining about wireless which is very difficult to find, so there is
inconvenience from the user's side and from the employee's side, namely the
difficulty of making repairs if there is damage. After the observations were made
from the measurement of the quality of the wireless in the engineering faculty
environment, which varied and tended to be less good at locations that were farther
away from the access point. Therefore, it is necessary to build a web-based
Geographic Information System (GIS) to map QoS (Quality of Service) using the
PHP programming language and database . This research uses the Waterfall Life
Cycle Software Development (CLC) development method. The waterfall model has
five stages, namely analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance. The result of
this research is that the GIS web application can provide information about the
quality of the wireless in the engineering faculty environment by displaying the
results of the analysis of delay, throughput, packet loss, and jitter that have been
compared with the TIPHON standard. And can also provide information about
other wireless (wifi) such as coordinates, wireless name , wirelessimage location
coverage radius distance wifi.
