Studi Etnobotani Tumbuhan Obat Dalam Kehidupan Masyarakat Di Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Kabupaten Kampar, Riau Dan Analisis Metabolit Sekundernya
Medical plants is the main elements in the local medical system in Kampar Kiri
District, Kampar Regency. It is closely related to the culture and traditional knowledge
of the people. This resource intents to explore public knowledge about medical plants,
identify, and identified secondary metabolites compounds test of medical plants. An
ethnobotanical survey was conducted to collect information from Traditional Medicine
Practitioners (TMP) from September to December 2021. Plant identification was
conducted at Botanical Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics
and Natural Sciences, Riau University. The research used ethnobotanical survey
method, observation, interviews with six informants who have information about
medical plants, and identified secondary metabolites compounds test. The results found
reaches that there were 60 species of medical plants from 33 families that treated 37
types of diseases. Leaves are the most widely used on plant by TMP with the origin of
yard home. The most commonly founds secondary metabolite are saponin found in 57
species of medical plants. Fever was the most treatable disease category with FIC = 0.93
while the nervous and respiratory diseases was the lowest with FIC value 0.00. The
medical plants with the highest percentage accuracy used by TMP were Curcuma
domestica, Acorus calamus, Cocos nucifera, Areca catechu, Panicum repens,
Cheilocostus specious, and Bryophyllum pinnatum with FL value 100%.
