Profil Kasus Kematian Akibat Luka Tembak Yang Diperiksa Di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Pekanbaru Periode 2018-2020
Gunshot wounds are caused by the penetration of the bullet into the body.
Gunshot wounds are linked to criminal cases of using a firearm to injure or kill
someone. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of cases of death
due to gunshot wounds examined at Bhayangkara Hospital Pekanbaru for the
2018-2020 period. The research method used is retrospective descriptive using
secondary data Visum et Repertum at Bhayangkara Hospital Pekanbaru for the
2018-2020 period. The sampling technique was total sampling and used
univariate analysis. The results showed as many as 13 cases of death with gunshot
wounds. Most of the case profiles were male (92.3%). Age range 26-45 years
(69.2%). The most common types of gunshot wounds were entry gunshot wounds
and exit gunshot wounds (92.3%). The most distant gunshot wounds were longrange
gunshot wounds (92.3%). Most gunshot wounds are located in the chest.
The cause of death was mostly due to gunshot wounds (53.8%). The occupational
background of the most death victims is self-employed (23.1%).
