Karakteristik Klinis Dan Faktor Komorbid Pada Pasien Covid-19 Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an acute respiratory infection disease in
humans and animals caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2
(SARS-CoV-2). Symptoms experienced by COVID-19 patients can be in the form of
systemic symptoms, respiratory symptoms, and digestive symptoms where the most
common symptoms are fever, dry cough, and fatigue that appear after an incubation
period of 5-6 days. The three most common comorbid diseases in COVID-19
patients are cardiovascular disease, endocrine system disease, and respiratory
system disease. This study was conducted to determine the clinical characteristics
and comorbid factors in COVID-19 patients at the Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau
Province. The research design in this study was a retrospective descriptive study
using medical records of COVID-19 cases for the period September 2020-October
2021. From 290 patients, it was found that COVID-19 patients were dominated by
the age of 46-65 years (46.6%), female ( 55.2%), high school education level
(43.1%), housewife occupation (27.2%), and normal BMI (52.8%). Most of the
clinical characteristics of COVID-19 patients were cough (88.6%), shortness of
breath (77.9%), and fever (73.8%) of moderate degree (74.5%). The most common
comorbid diseases suffered by COVID-19 patients are hypertension (33.8%),
diabetes mellitus (24.1%), and cardiovascular disease (13.1%).
